MacKeeper Alert

MacKeeper, a utility software for Apple devices, recently leaked the passwords and usernames of 13 million people were onto the internet. They had their own database for these passwords and usernames that was accessible to the public, and it wasn't secure at all. The leak led to a number of Apple users complaining about the product, which made Apple release details on how to remove the software. The company has been scandalous over the years, since it was released in 2010, including a lawsuit they faced about a year ago. The company is under a new owner, previous was Zeobit, Kromtech. From my perspective, and maybe some computer experts' perspective, it is extremely difficult to develop a utility software that works well. Dell for example, came out with a utility software known as Dell Backup and Recovery. This software of Dell is useless because it is supposed to backup your files whenever you reboot your computer, but the applications and the computer itself rarely seem to shut down properly. Anyway, knowing that MacKeeper has leaked a portion of Apple users' usernames and passwords and has been scandalous for a number of years,  I probably won't this product, at least for right now.
