New Version of Dropbox for Tablet Users

Microsoft:

Today, a new version of Dropbox was created for Windows. The new Dropbox app had already been for Windows since around 2014, but has been redesigned to be more user-friendly, especially with mobile devices. This Dropbox update will be available in a couple of days. Some new features of the app are you can drag and drop files from your browser directly into the app , a quick search to find your documents faster, the use of a feature called Windows Hello that allows you to unlock the app with face recognition and a fingerprint scanner, being able to copy and paste files (although, you could already do that with Adobe),  allows you to open and edit your Dropbox documents through Office, allows you to make edits to you Office documents through Dropbox and features a miniature window that allows you to edit your documents from it without opening the app and notifies you of files that have been shared with you or that you have downloaded. The only thing that is confusing about this new, updated Dropbox app is that Dropbox hasn't, yet, gotten rid of its other apps. This new version of Dropbox seems really cool to me because it is the first app of Windows that uses the face and fingerprint scanners, documents in Dropbox and documents in Office can be opened and edited between the two apps, and you can sync photos or documents from the web directly into your Dropbox. I also like the miniature window that can be opened from the Dropbox icon and notifies you about files that people have shared with you and that allows you to edit your documents without opening the app. To be honest, though, I don't know why you would want this new Dropbox app when Adobe Reader has most of the same features. However, I would definitely download this app and get rid of Adobe Reader. The main difference between Adobe Reader and Dropbox is Adobe Reader can only open and store PDF files, whereas Dropbox stores virtually any type of file (documents, PDFs, audio files, etc.). I  have the older version, the Windows 8 version, of Dropbox, and it's great. It syncs the photos right from my phone onto my computer. Before this new version of Dropbox came out, you couldn't edit the files from your folders. Well, know you can with the newer and better Dropbox.
