I was wondering why my laptop updated itself two days ago, and now I know why. Windows is automatically installing Windows 10 on any device that is eligible for the update (Windows 7 and 8). Unfortunately, you can't opt out of the download until after it is installed. What was weird about this update for me was that I already had Windows 10 on my device, so it was completely pointless. I think this idea to force Microsoft users isn't smart because some users might not want to upgrade to Windows 10 and for users who already have Windows 10 this update won't do anything but take up space on their hard-drive. Users that want to downgrade back to Windows 7 and 8 after the update will probably uninstall it anyway. In other words, this decision of Microsoft was dumb; it would only seem logical for users of Microsoft that wanted to upgrade to Windows 10.
In other news, Microsoft bought this popular keyboard app that has been available on Android and

Apple devices called SwiftKey. Microsoft bought this company because they were impressed with how the app incorporates artificial intelligence into its keyboards. They might provide the Word Flow app for Apple devices soon. However, they also plan to combine the features SwiftKey with their Word Flow keyboard (basically their version of the SwiftKey keyboard) so they probably shouldn't have to provide the Word Flow app for Apple devices. Windows will still provide the Swiftkey app for Apple and Android devices and they'll probably add more features to it. I beleive this investment will be good for both SwiftKey and Microsoft because SwiftKey will now be available to more people, SwiftKey will likely gain a lot of new features, and it means it will bring in more consumers for Microsoft (whether the users of the app know that they are using a Microsoft product or not). I think this was a smart investment for Microsoft, even though I've never downloaded or used separate keyboard apps before that are not part of my devices' main platform.
